Company History
The Burgh Live, LLC is a privately held Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania company founded by Ryan Brown in 1998. The Burgh Live began as a web design firm and has since expanded into hosting, e-commerce, and security solutions. We believe customer service is crucial, where the customer is not just a number, but a name and individual to us as shown by our client testimonials. Our servers and infrastructure are located in the Switch and Data facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Switch and Data provides The Burgh Live with a secure and climate controlled hosting environment. Many bandwidth providers are "on-net" with Switch and Data which provides The Burgh Live a direct connection to the Internet backbone.

January 2008

August 2007
Global Crossing has been selected as an additional bandwidth provider for The Burgh Live.
May 2007
The Burgh Live announces the launch of our new corporate web site and logo.
January 2007
The Burgh live began offering dedicated servers. This allows customers to rent our equipment rather than purchasing their own.
July 2006
The Burgh Live began offering colocation services. Customers can now place their equipment in a secure and climate controlled data center.
October 2005
The Burgh Live established a partnership with KillerSecurity. The KillerSecurity product is a security system for membership based web sites that will detect password leaks and automatically block users attempting to login with a leaked password.
December 2004
The Burgh Live began offering Voice over IP termination and remotely hosted PBX solutions for small businesses.
August 2004
The Burgh Live sold ImageArk (at this time ImageArk was hosting over 100,000 images).
June 2004
The move from Los Angeles, CA to Pittsburgh, PA was successfully completed.
May 2004
The Burgh Live announced the launch of ImageArk. A web site dedicated to free image hosting.
March 2004
The Burgh Live began the transition to the Switch and Data data center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This move brought our equipment back to Pittsburgh, home of our corporate offices. The Burgh Live invested in Dell PowerEdge servers, a Cisco network, and APC power management equipment.
September 2003
The Burgh Live established a partnership with Swax for graphic design.
July 2003
The Burgh Live established a partnership with Harveyopolis Corporation and their PowerBasket E-Commerce Suite. The Burgh Live began to convert existing e-commerce customers to this more reliable and faster e-commerce solution.
November 2002
The Burgh Live outgrew its network capacity and moved to the Harveyopolis Corporation data center in Los Angeles, California. This strategic move allowed The Burgh Live to increase network capacity and improve redunancy.
February 2002
The Burgh Live, LLC was formed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
February 2001
The Burgh Live added e-commerce development to our list of services.
